- The treatment process begins with a consultation between you and our Board Certified Radiation Oncologist.
- Once Radiation is determined appropriate for your disease, you will undergo a planning CT scan.
- The Radiation Oncologist, Medical Physicist and Medical Dosimetrist work together to determine a treatment plan which is determined by running computer simulations that uses your own anatomy from the planning CT scan. This will determine the dose and number of treatments for your individualized treatment.
- The final treatment plan is independently verified (to ensure accuracy and ideal customization), prior to the start of treatment.
- Depending on the requirements of your insurance plan, a prior authorization may be required and is obtained in coordination with your Primary Care's Office (which typically takes between 2-5 Days).
- Once everything is complete, one of our Radiation Therapist's will call to schedule your treatments.
